SERIES MVP: Willie Horton (two two-run homers, and both were game-winning hits---in Game 1 and Game 4)

The Cardinals never got rolling. Tigers pitching was dominant, and the Tigers hit six home runs in the Series to the Cardinals' one. Lou Brock was 4-for-16, yet his slugging percentage was .625 because his four hits were for the cycle. Yet Brock was never a factor.

The Cardinals won 101 games but their bats were totally silenced---just 21 hits in four games.

DET wins, 4-0.
